How we collect, use and protect personal information.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This policy explains how Saarve AI ("Saarve", "we", "us"), a company based in Nairobi, Kenya, collects and uses personal information through saarve-ai.com and in running our business. We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, and we respect the rights of people in other countries whose data we handle, including under the EU and UK GDPR where they apply.

Client project data (the images, video, text, audio or model outputs you send us to label or evaluate) is not covered by this policy. It is handled under your contract and NDA with us, and we process it only on your instructions. See our Data security page.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and request logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this website.

2. How we use it

We rely on your consent (when you submit a form), on steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, on our legitimate interest in running our business, and on legal obligations. We never sell personal information.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as far as needed:

Some of these providers process data outside Kenya, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.

4. How long we keep it

We keep pilot and sales enquiries for as long as we have a business relationship or for up to two years after our last contact. We keep job applications for up to 12 months so we can consider you for future projects, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We keep records needed for legal or tax reasons for as long as the law requires.

5. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent, or ask for a copy in a portable format. To make a request, email joseph.mwanzia@saarve-ai.com. We'll respond within the time the law allows. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya, or to the data protection authority where you live.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including restricted access and secure, encrypted connections to this website. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal data through our website forms.

7. Children

Our website and services are not directed at children, and applicants must be 18 or older.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
